Boise among 25 Best Places to Retire 2012 (Forbes)
More accolades for Boise, this time from Forbes. In one of their recent reports, Forbes ranked Boise among the Top 25 Places in Retire in 2012. Our great climate of mild winters and low humidity in the summer, combined with the low cost of living were cited as being key attributes. Idaho also offers tax breaks for retirees, which also helped boost our national ranking. To see a photo tour from the article, click here >>Forbes Photo Tour
The Woodhouse Group represents several new communities/neighborhoods in the Boise area that are especially attractive to retirees. One of which is The Orchards at Cloverdale, a condominium neighborhood in west Boise. Although this gated community is not age-restricted, it is appealing to retirees because of the types of amenities it offers. A beautifully-decorated clubhouse features a catering kitchen, large gathering room and fitness center. Its heated pool is open from Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend and provides endless hours of summer fun for homeowners and guests. These condos are surrounded by lush landscaping and are often described as having an “English Cottage” look, with stone and brick accents, shutters and Palladian windows. With “maintenance free living” as their tagline and prices starting in the mid-$180,000s, The Orchards at Cloverdale offers a great lifestyle for retirees and all of us looking for a little less yardwork and more time to enjoy all the great recreational opportunities in the Boise Valley!
